Laura Chappell and Dan Farkas ported the CIT training course to book format
and are considered the editors of the book. The course developers actually
wrote most of the material. Since the test is based on the course, this
book nails the test well.
I don't know the other book. I'm sure it's good too. The certification
guides are not ports of the course. They are written by the author mostly
in his/her own words. They are meant to be used after you have taken the
course or in cases where you don't really need a course, (because you know
the material), but instead need a guide to help you pass the test.
