I have been told from the SOURCE, (Straight from the Horses mouth) that all of the CCIES that were laidoff by Cisco already have other Jobs. They did in 1 to 2 days after they were let go. Some are making more money than before. And it was not because of poor performance, purely because of the downturn. Also they are welcome to reapply after things get better. The ones that are not working either have retired or do not want to work, because they are millionaires. It pays to be a CCIE.
