I forgot to mention one other type of Cisco Press book: Cisco documenation. Cisco gives Cisco Press the documentation to publish in book format because some people prefer book format. As you say, it's exactly the same as what's on CCO. That's probably the case with the dial book you mentioned. That's a different situation then what I was talking about, which was unique (new) books published by Cisco Press. Cisco employees use sentences and sometimes whole paragraphs from them, which I think is unfortunate, but I can't do anything about, because I think they have the right to it. That's also different from the situation where Cisco publishes a chapter from a Cisco Press book. That's just to help Cisco Press with advertising. That's probably the situation with Thomas's OSPF book. It's just one chapter on CCO, right? When you buy a Cisco Press book, determine which kind it is first in case you already have access to the material: from CCO or a Cisco class that you took.
