The CCNP can be done without router experience.  I do not recommend this
course of action, as it will make you a very scared interviewee (hoping you
be won't be asked real world questions) & an even more scared the first year
or so on the job (hoping you don't spend every day with scenarios that are
over your head).

It can be done though
