If you have a CCO login you can use the IOS feature navigator.

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/FeatureNav/FN1.pl?HStartForm2=True

If not I checked it out and you will need at least 12.0(10) to run BGP.
Hope this helps!!

Subject: BGP on the 1600 series??? [7:20209]

Hi,
Do the 1600 series routers run BGP? I tried to configure bgp 100 on a 1603
and it gives me an "unknown routing protocol" error msg.? I am running IOS
ver. 11.2(15)P. Do I have to upgrade the IOS to run BGP? Please advise.
Thank you.
