Erlend, you're half right. There's two ways to boot from TFTP. Yours and
"Cisco Nuts". This is his way (and from this output, you can also see where
you can use your method...

RouterA(config)#boot ?
  bootstrap Bootstrap image file
buffersize Specify the buffer size for netbooting a config file
  host Router-specific config file
  network Network-wide config file
  system System image file

RouterA(config)#boot system ?
  WORD TFTP filename or URL
  flash Boot from flash memory
mop Boot from a Decnet MOP server
rcp Boot from a server via rcp
  rom Boot from rom
tftp Boot from a tftp server

RouterA(config)#boot system tftp ?
  WORD Configuration filename

RouterA(config)#boot system tftp c1600-j-p.bin ?
Hostname or A.B.C.D Address from which to download the boot config file

RouterA(config)#boot system tftp c1600-j-p.bin 172.16.1.1 ?

RouterA(config)#boot system tftp c1600-j-p.bin 172.16.1.1
