For you sniffer buffs out there....if you look at a sniffer trace and compare isl to 802.1q you will see that with isl, the vlan tag info will come first before the source and destination...in 802.1q you will see the source and dest. address first then the vlan tagging info. Just some more info to help with comparison of the two.
