If you have a back-to-back connection, one end has to have a clock rate command. Simply set the clockrate to 64000 and you'll be set. Changing the bandwidth statement will have no effect on the actual clock rate of the link.

I have two routers (2621 and 1601) tied back-to-back using V.35 serial. Can I simulate a 64K link with this config if I execute "bandwidth 64000" at the interface prompt?? What I understand is that this command is used in eigrp to limit eigrp traffic to 50% of what ever b/w one specified. Does this physically limit the link to a speed of 64K too??
