Hi all, Could someone please define the phrase "line hit" for me? I assume it means that some sort of outside interference (such as a lightning strike) caused bit errors in a frame. Is that accurate?
That leads to another question... If a serial connection between 2 routers (or switches) experiences a "line hit", who is going to take care of the retransmission? Will it be the sending host (pc) or the router/switch or will that depend upon the configuration and/or protocol? Thanks!
