This one is tough. The Passport 8600 is better then
the 6500 in some ways and the 6500 is better in other
ways and both are solid boxes. 

The question is, what are you trying to do?

Replacing Bay/Nortel with Cisco isn't a valid answer
:) (Why replace a perfectly good box?)
