I will add something here from my radio/electronic days.. take the SIMM and give the contacts a *light* scrub with contact cleaner.. shoot some into the mating end on the CCA( circuit card assembly) and then install the SIMMs several times. Blow dry out the connector using some tissue to blot up the excess cleaner. Install the SIMMS for the last time.
THis will work nicely to recover connectors that have been crudded p over time.
