Hi.. Can you teach me how to use the snmp community name to get the information I want. What I want is to get is input/output bits/sec counters on the int serial2/0 interface.
30 second input rate 19000 bits/sec, 19 packets/sec 30 second output rate 37000 bits/sec, 43 packets/sec I found a command in UNIX -snmpget, the usage is shown below, I know how to specify hostname and community, but I don't know how to specify the object ID in order to get the information that I want. Could you please guide me snmpget - Usage: snmpget [-Cf] [options...] {} [ ...] UCD-snmp version: 4.2 SIN01>sh int serial2/0 Serial2/0 is up, line protocol is up Hardware is M4T Description: --- Connects to LON01 S2/0 - MCI Circuit ID XXXXXXXX --- Internet address is 100.100.100.10/30 MTU 1500 bytes, BW 256 Kbit, DLY 20000 usec, reliability 255/255, txload 36/255, rxload 18/255 Encapsulation HDLC, crc 16, loopback not set Keepalive set (10 sec) Last input 00:00:02, output 00:00:00, output hang never Last clearing of "show interface" counters never Input queue: 0/75/0 (size/max/drops); Total output drops: 1687896 Queueing strategy: weighted fair Output queue: 0/1000/64/1687844 (size/max total/threshold/drops) Conversations 0/26/256 (active/max active/max total) Reserved Conversations 0/0 (allocated/max allocated) 30 second input rate 19000 bits/sec, 19 packets/sec 30 second output rate 37000 bits/sec, 43 packets/sec 58696814 packets input, 1730703111 bytes, 0 no buffer Received 533148 broadcasts, 0 runts, 19 giants, 0 throttles 239579 input errors, 145947 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored, 93632 abort 91764701 packets output, 3402484937 bytes, 0 underruns 0 output errors, 0 collisions, 67 interface resets 0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out 69 carrier transitions DCD=up DSR=up DTR=up RTS=up CTS=up _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=28266&t=28266 -------------------------------------------------- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
