You could also have a modem attached to the remote router and while you are dialed in you can change the IP address. Then change the ip address on the host end after that. At least if you miss typed the ip address you would still be dialed into the router to change it instead of rebooting the router. Also make sure you do a wr mem and wr net before you make this change just in case.
