Hugo- I just upgraded a CPA last week to 12.2(6) Enterprise Plus. You need to download a software cookie from Cisco first. http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Software/Tablebuild/tablebuild.pl/rsl You must also upgrade the ROM's to the new 11.0 (10c), Cisco part# BOOT-2500= (which are free from Cisco). Upgrade in this order: Download the cookie and reload the router. Once you've reloaded the router it should come up with a software error, which means it's no longer a CPA. Swap the ROM's out, upgrade the RAM and FLASH... and you're done. Here's the output on the one I upgraded: 2501#Show Version Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software IOS (tm) 2500 Software (C2500-JS-L), Version 12.2(6), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2) Copyright (c) 1986-2001 by cisco Systems, Inc. I need the Policy-Based Routing (PBR) feature. PBR needs at least 11.2(1) and an upgrade to 4MB flash in my hardware. The CPA line seems a "fake" Cisco box, because of its external color... beige. My actual CPA box has the below "sh ver". Any sugestion are welcome.
