A friend of mine was doing a PIX installation on the edge of a W2K environment. He was trying to allow NTP through the PIX but it would not go. He found that, since he was using an inbound ACL, the packet would eventually reach the explicit deny. According to his research, he had to allow port 123 (NTP) in his ACL in able to allow it through the firewall, even though it was established. The question that has since been unanswered: Does NTP use UDP or TCP or both? Any ideas? ccie1ab (chuck)
