I think the participants in the survey probably obtained a good salary while the economy was steaming along. Anyone trying to obtain these salaries now while looking for a new job will be in for a rudely awakening. Of course, there are exceptions, but in general, I believe that's true.
Salaries aside, I believe the article stated that experience is more important then certifications. I believe that is true as well. Anyone update his/her MCSE NT 4.0 to Win2k yet? The Jan issue of MCP mag says that peeps can get an avg. of $4,400 more then a peeps with NT 4.0 cert.
