There are modules with multiple serial ports that allow the aggregate
bandwidth to be applied to a single interface. I believe that the NM-4T= is
one of them. Problem is that it won't work in a 2600. Let's use a phrase
well known on this list "What is the problem you're trying to solve?"
What is providing the 8Mbs input?
For example - Several years ago we connected offices with multiple T-1s. We
aggregated those into one circuit with Inverse multiplexors from Digital
Link. The DL boxes handed off as HSSI. A Cisco box that would support HSSI
was expensive. Larscom makes a box called an EtherSpan than converts HSSI to
Ethernet. Adding that allowed us to use a 2514 at the Branch Office. Since
then better solutions may have appeared.
IIRC Cisco allows load sharing across multiple links. Maybe two WIC-2Ts in
the 2600 would work.
