Not to my knowledge.

Collisions are only relevant to contention based
technologies the most common being CSMA/CD (Collision
Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detection) as
defined by the IEEE in 802.3. Serial links do not fit
this bill as they have separate Tx and Rx pairs and
therefore operate as full duplex.
