Token Ring is not needed for CCNP. I got mine without ever touching one. You have to know the theory, and some of the pratical, but if you are looking to reduce the cost of your lab, that's the first one to go.
The BRI emulator is priceless in terms of REMOTE. Unless you have hands on experience with multiple ISDN installations, I highly recommend some kind of ISDN emulator. The 5002 is really helpful when it comes to SWITCHING. There really isn't a better option for a set-based switch. The patch panels seem to be a convience to me. But back-to-back serial cables are a must.
