You will need to connect to the console of the IDS. Log in as netrangr (note: NO "e" in netrangr). Default Passord: "attack" Then enter: #sysconfig-sensor
You will see a menu: 1 - IP Address 2 - IP Netmask 3 - IP Host Name 4 - Default Route 5 - Network Access Control 6 - Communications Infrastructure 7 - Date/Time and Timezone 8 - Passwords 9 - Secure Communications x - Exit At a minimum you will need to configure 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 (for #5 enter the network that the CSPM server resides on. If its 192.168.15.0/24, enter 192.168.15.) For #6, write down the info you assign the IDS. You will need this for the CSPM. You will need org. number (such as "1"), Node # (such as "1") and org name (like your domain name). HTH, Rob.
