Danny, I had this same problem but with 2600 series routers. I loaded an IOS that supported the featurs I needed but DID NOT support the interfaces physically present on the box. It threw me a bit as well. Do a hardware/Software compatability check on CCO and then look for the images that support both the hardware and features.
