There are a few of us who actually studied really hard for the exams
they already passed. Some of you in this group, can read the table of
contents on all Cisco press books and pass the 4 exams the next day. I
am not one of those people, I spent at least 200 hours studying for CCNP
routing exam, if not more.

I got about 100 emails for me to take the beta exams, I deleted all of
them. I think they had major issues getting people to take the betas.
The majority of people I know who are in the middle of the CCNP do not
welcome this change. Maybe there is too many CCNP and this is a tactic
to slow it down by making some of them mad.

I know some of us seem dumb, when we can't pass the test by osmosis. But
consider everyone taking the CCNP doesn't eat, sleep and drink routers
and switches. Network engineers, most of us are generalist, being
expected to know every piece of technology and software under the sun.
And at the same time, going to school, and studying for other vendors
certs.

I think that if you start a "series" you should be allowed to finish the
same one you started. Now I am wondering about the Cisco security
series, will that change when I am half way through it? I guess the
current policy is that Cisco can make any changed they feel like, at any
time.

I just think that Cisco should have let people who are in the middle of
their CCNP finish the series. And new people who decide to be a CCNP
start a new series. I am all for making the program better, but I think
they didn't give much thought to this one.

Just my 2 cents.
