If your customer is huge (and I mean HUGE), and especially if your customer is a service-provider, then you should look at Juniper. Bottom line - Juniper ships the best IP routers in the world right now. More scalable, more reliable, can turn on all kinds of services without having your performance sink like a brick.
Don't believe it? Well think about this. Everybody knows that Cisco is the high-end and expensive vendor in the markets that it owns like branch routers, and the value proposition of going with another vendor is almost always lower price. However, in the core backbone space where Juniper competes, it is actually Juniper that is now considered the high-end, expensive choice, and it is Cisco that wins sales on price. Cisco core backbone gear is generally priced about 15-20% lower than equivalent Juniper gear, after factoring out the requisite discounts by both vendors. A parallel example would be how Cisco often uses price as a weapon to beat out Checkpoint for firewall sales - Cisco knows it can't charge a huge premium for the PIX like it can for its branch routers because they know if they did, everybody would go buy Checkpoint.
