Do you know if this works just as easy with 2600's??

I only mentioned in my previous post before about removing the autoconfigure
line because just a week ago, I had this problem, and finally removing the
line helped allow the modem dial-in.

I assume also that there is no difference in operation if you are using a
33.6 or a 56k USR Modem!?!? (aside from specifying your baud rate)


... and speaking of baud rate, does anybody know why when you give the
"speed xxxxx" under the line Aux 0 interface, and then exit out to exec
mode, do a show run, and look at the config for the line Aux 0, 9 times out
of 10, it'll show something else OTHER than what you just typed in!?!

This is what I have used for a 2501. The Sportster modem has original dip
switch setting of 3,5,8 down all others up.
