The BGP paths are used differently than the equal-cost paths to the
destination. Assume you have two T1's which run to Neighbor A, and one T1
which runs to Neighbor B. If Neighbor A's BGP route advertisement is
preferred over Neighbor B's, then the router will distribute traffic over
both equal-cost T1's to Neighbor A. There is only one BGP path, but there
can be multiple physical links to that neighbor.

We do that with some of our T1's.
