If you're going to upgrade to 6.2, you may as well just upgrade it normally (not through ROMMON) and then use the activation-key command. Became available in 6.2 so you don't need to re-install the image to re-enter activation key. Must admit I've not done it on 501's yet, so anyone please correct me if it's not available, but I'd be 99% certain it will be. Used it on 506's and 515's
