transparent mode wont update the vtp domain info
to or from a server. If the info was inserted from
a switch in transparent mode it wont go anywhere.

If the new vlan data was inserted in a switch that is
running in server mode, it will propagate the info to
other servers and clients in the same domain.

You have to be either transparent or server mode to add a VLAN. Were
you in client mode originally?
