If you load the IOS from flash you can't change it. The easiest solution is to boot off of a tftp server, either by configuring a host with a tftp program, or by configuring another router to serve as a tftp server...
Once you "boot system" from the tftp server, you'll be able to repartition the flash and load a new IOS (from the tftp server). Good luck...
