In my opinion, you should know the basics of IS-IS for the RTING (BSCN) 640-603 exam even though it's not mentioned in the blueprint. For instance, what is the administrative distance of ISI-IS? (115), does IS-IS support VLSM? (yes), is IS-IS classless? (yes), etc. I wouldn't expect any major questions on this protocol, because that is saved for the BSCI 640-901 exam. Just in case you don't know this already, the BSCI exam covers the same topics as the RTING (BSCN) exam with the addition of the IS-IS protocol and counts towards the CCNP, CCDP, and CCIP certifications.
