Joining the pilot project isn't signing your name in blood and committing to dozens of hours a week, it's just saying "I want to help with Citizendium, so I'll help with a few articles when I get the chance and/or help with policy formulation". If you think you might help, it's best to apply, because that's really the easiest way to help right now. Also, as long as we're doing recruitment and the tech guys don't seem to be around, don't forget to sign up at forge.citizendium.org and report any bugs you come across on the pilot.
