I must not be being as clear as I think I am (which happens sometimes when I'm writing 2-3 things at once).  By that last email, I mean that being on the pilot does not make massive time commitments mandatory.  They are still highly encouraged.  Essentially it's "whatever you can afford to give" in terms of time.  But we'd much rather have people on the pilot wiki and doing only a bit of work than not on the pilot wiki and doing essentially no work.  I certainly didn't mean to discourage anyone from working, and I apologize if I said it that way.

Does that make a bit more sense?

With all due respect, Larry keeps urging us to get to work and wondering why more of us aren't working.  That conflicts with the message that you're sending here...

Oops, I did it again. I mistakenly sent a reply to just the sender,
not the whole list. Grrrr. Anyways, here's what I wrote Fred:

Joining the pilot project isn't signing your name in blood and
committing to dozens of hours a week, it's just saying "I want to
help with Citizendium, so I'll help with a few articles when I get
the chance and/or help with policy formulation". If you think you
might help, it's best to apply, because that's really the easiest way
to help right now.

Also, as long as we're doing recruitment and the tech guys don't seem
to be around, don't forget to sign up at forge.citizendium.org and
report any bugs you come across on the pilot.

BTW, this list has 453 members. That means that probably over 200
people on
this list aren't in the pilot project. Why not?

I can occasionally help you along a bit. I support forks. But I have
serious responsibilities on other wikis.
