Yes.

No.  The GBK encoding only supports the BMP of Unicode (this is,
characters <= U+FFFF).

Yes.  fontforge recognizes the cmaps in the TTF and maps everything to
Unicode internally.  Of course, all characters > U+FFFF are lost
because they can't be represented in GBK.
