Where do I get

 - simsun.ttf
 - all the required .enc files ?

Also, as I understand, there is also a style for something called "kai". How
do I get that on pdflatex?

Note that I would rather not change to TeXlive. I'm doing it for my mother who
is a bit computer illiterate. I fear that changing to texlive will require me
to
troubleshoot loads of other issues over a telephone line.

thanks,
