This is the expected behaviour as far as I am concerned, since the
character is defined in the default fonts. I haven't checked what
input methods for accents are "safe" for Spanish, but as far as I
understand, all methods of inputting accents are acceptable in the
main document environment. I notice you choose to use a simple method
for the German --- what happens if you choose to input them directly
also in your positions one and three?

Presumably the song fonts neglect to include this glyph?
