The thumbprint lozenge is "much valued" in the UK breed standard and
experience has indicated that all rounder judges take more notice of it
than breed judges.  I have had some all rounder judges make special
reference to the lozenge mark as being very important.

>From a personal point of view it is cosmetic and ranks lower than type,
expression, movement, construction, overall balance of the dogs, etc.
It is a nice to have, but not essential to me.
