This is very accurate and reflects a problem that is dominant in purebred
circles.  In many cases peer pressure, fear of political blackballing, etc,
just forces issues underground.  It does not resolve them but can actually
make things worse.

I think it is great that you are very up front with everyone about what you
do and do not do.  This is how it should be then everyone can make their own
choices in an informed manner if they want to deal with someone following
these practices.

I do test for hips and OFA my girls before breeding.  Do I feel it is
predominant enough to have to do this?  I don't know enough to say.  I just
think for the $60 bucks it costs me to do it prior to breeding is such a
small price to pay to know where I stand that it is a no brainer.
