It's too small for puppies to get sucked up. It's just about 3" wide by 1" high. It's just an "extra" with a central vac system. As I recall, the little suction things were quite a bit extra, and that's why she only got one in her kitchen. She's wishing she had gotten them in the bathrooms, too. They had it put into a new house they were building. It probably would be difficult to put the pipes into an older home.
