Thank you Debbie, I have done the red pepper thing myself - but the idea of wire and mulch sounds like an interesting concept - we have to re-do our backyard also and we had thought sand and peastone. Linda McCartney-Roy has that and it seems to work great for her dogs and it looked great as well. We vacillate between patio blocks and peastone. We each want something different. So we have done nothing yet. But the good things now is that we have no more grass to mow! Not a good idea in the fall and spring - mud baths for all then.
