Winnie, With all due respect.........your head is in the clouds! I have no influence with anyone to get them to do things differently if they so choose. I don't want anyone "pressuring me" to do anything I feel is not right for me.
Breeders should be allowed to make their own choices.....you simply do not understand how we need to evaluate those choices and that's why I feel the pet owners should not be voting on akc acceptance. As a consumer.......if you don't like what the store has to offer or the return policy......don't buy there. Educated buyers are quite capable of making their own decisions on who to purchase from. Your idealisitic views will not produce the perfect cavalier................... I staunchly feel that waiting to breed a bitch at 2-1/2 or older is not in the best interest of the female....I have the same opinion about waiting to use males. The physiology of the dog does not coincide with the accepted protocol for breeding out MVD. Breeders MUST balance EVERYTHING !!!!! This is what you do not want to accept......it's just not black and white as you see it. Sorry, I can't agree with you.
