Looking at the rate that new virus spreads it will be vital that av-scanners can be updated as fast as possible to be effective.
I would find it very useful if users with less knowledge could submit virus reports through the Clam website or via e-mail. This should include the possibility to include sample files. Users with knowledge on how to create signatures can "login" and process pending reports. These could be only authorized users to avoid a situation of corrupt database. I will happily assist in creating the necessary coding to support such a system. I have currently no info on whom or how often virus reports are submitted and who is updating the database, so my assertion could be wrong. I send my virus samples to Thomasz K.
