No, I haven't come up against this, but then I don't scan things like you do, and I don't normally see Macs. However I think if you take a look at the changelog for the latest version you'll see that (a) there wasn't a lot of it and (b) the descriptions of some of the changes do hint at memory issues, and the sort of breakage that you see might not be too surprising. It would be a useful exercise to take the previous version and apply each change separately. Hopefully only one of them will cause the problem, and you can let the devs know which.
