Hey Micha,
Thanks for the reponse. Here is some more output. I do have multilog running fine. My qmail is supervised just fine and so are the log files. Here are the permissions on my /var/log/clamd dir
[EMAIL PROTECTED] electro]# ls -l /var/log/ |grep clamd drwxr-xr-x 2 qscand qscand 512 Apr 6 14:02 clamd
and when I try your suggestion:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] clamd]# svc -u /service/clamd/log svc: warning: unable to control /service/clamd/log: supervise not running
And yet supervise is most definitly running.
I don't understand exactly how clamd sends it's logs, but the built in logging facility thru syslog works fine. On the other hand, as I mentioned, running clamd thru daemontools works fine (no issues for several months so far), but it's built in piping of logs thru multilog doesn't seem to be doing anything. Looks like a "lights are on, but nobody's home" thing.
Just to experiment, I dropped the sticky bit on the /service/clamd/log and /service/clamd/log/supervise directories, and the log service still starts.
BTW, I'm running clamav 0.67

I appreciate all the help, I just cant think of why this would not be working. Thanks!
