First, use a mailer that wraps lines correctly.

Second, it is untrue that you *need* to use an rpm of clamav for RH9.  I
have it running on RH9 compiled from source.  No problems at all.  I am
now running .70 and have been running various versions since .65 and can
count the crashes or hung processes on 1 hand.  I have it running on 2
servers each handling 70k msgs/day.

Third, I followed the docs and it *is* working, so you probably have not
"done everything".

Fourth, what MTA are you using and how is ClamAV interfaced with it?  If
you haven't hooked it into your MTA, how would you expect it to catch
mail?
