Everything worked except that I didn't save my clamav.conf before
running
uninstall, luckily I had a copy :-)

So I would suggest a slight change to the checklist

Graham,

        What would you have changed in this setup?? These instructions
worked fine for me. Though, only a single small problem arose, during
the upgrade process I had uninstalled .70 and had not backed up my
current configuration ( the clamav.conf file ) as it removes the
installed clamav.conf from the pc when removing .70. Finding this out, I
was in quite a rush to get this file back and get clamav back up and
running.  

        I would suggest to anyone following this as simple directions to
upgrade, that they should backup there current config file ( clamav.conf
) before upgrading the original version.
