Hi @all,

I’ve now decided to stop using (and uninstall) the heavily modified ClamAV 
version provided by Ubuntu.
Instead, I downloaded the |.deb| package, unpacked it, and manually copied all 
folders and files into |/usr/local|.
That all works perfectly fine, but:
Do I absolutely /need/ to perform an “installation” (|sudo apt install ...|), 
or does that command essentially just do the same thing I already did manually?
I just want to make sure I don’t end up running two antivirus programs at the 
same time.
