Hey Tim,

no, I'm done now, then i will stay on the "Ubunturized" Version and done.
It's not  changable on simple way.
Hope other Users can confirm my problems too and ClamAV respective Cisco
reports this to Ubuntu devs, if they removed in her Version stuff from default
security features, this can't be in sense of ClamAV.

I really don't why the "Ubunturized" Version do always set different
permissions and delete all my working config files and replaces it with default ones,
before this Upgrade, all was working perfectly, so it's not needed for Ubuntu to change
all and delete stuff.

Marc

Hi Newcomer,

Why not try what Unbuntu is based on? Debian testing is going to be the next
stable release soon, I run it and never had any issues with ClamAV. Especially
what you describe.

yes Matus, you are absolutely right.
I have paid for my stupidness and was needed to reinstall my Computer because of the
"white screen of death".
See the embedded Image what i mean:

WSOD

It seems the "Ubunturized" ClamAV Version don't check the downloaded signature
files (I have enabled this option in my freshclam.conf), in the original ClamAV this
always happen and is logged into freshclam.log - for each Database file
I don't know if this feature isn't implemented on Ubuntu side, or it isn't
logged only.

Then on each Upgrade Ubuntu replaces my whole permissions for ClamAV and with
this, ClamAV didn't work anymore, so I always need to restore my own
Permissions to get ClamAV working again.

You still can try other linux distribution, but what I've said still
applies.
And you also didn't explain which restrictions on clamav you don't like.
