Just to clarify: The system had very old clam databases because it hadn't been used for a long time and hadn't been updated. Now I wanted to reactivate it, but it didn't work and I got a message saying that the system was blocked. After manually downloading and installing the clam databases, the freshclam update is working again. So I didn't want to download old data, but rather update my outdated data to the latest version. But apparently, an update via freshclam is not possible if the local data is very old. At least that's how it behaved here. It seems to be solved on my site, so thank you very much to all of you.

But here is a new update to the story: I was able to download the three cvd files manually and replaced them on our test system. After replacing them and executing “freshclam”, the update job executed successfully 😲 Is it possible, that you get blocked when the database files are older than a specific date? I’m not 100% sure if the update works from now on via cron … but there is now a little hope. ("Sorry, you have been blocked. You are unable to access clamav.net"). However, I couldn't find an email address to request that our client be unblocked. We only have two systems, and the update is only performed twice a day. Configuring a local mirror doesn't make sense for just two systems. Can anyone help me and give me information on who I can contact to get us unblocked?
