> Clamd does not seem to be running as a service. When I try > running Clamd in a DOS window I get the following: Replying to self !! Ok - after much fiddling and trial and error I finally got it going on a Win2000pro machine with an old version of Merak. I still have a question remaining if someone would be so kind as to elucidate:- I still get messages saying the version I have is out of date when running freshclam (as follows): C:\Program Files\clamAV>freshclam ClamAV update process started at Wed Aug 20 22:09:28 2008 SECURITY WARNING: NO SUPPORT FOR DIGITAL SIGNATURES See the FAQ at http://www.clamav.net/support/faq for an explanation. Read http://www.clamav.net/support/faq Database updated (397508 signatures) from db.UK.clamav.net (IP: 193.1.193.64) Clamd successfully notified about the update. The thing is that as far as I can see I HAVE the latest version (win32) (0.92.1) unless I am missing something somewhere ? Does the Win32 version lag a way behind Linux etc ?
