Checked today, gotta correct myself. It has been updated
recently - ChangeLog lists:

Sources (Sep 15th) do not compile with RH 5.1 (internal compiler
error in egcs). Binary does not work either (libstdc++.so.27).
That's prolly more of a RH 5.1 problem, though. Might try the
source again once I got Debian 2.0 installed.
I still think that a JavaCC based approach instead of
the doc++ flex-based Java parser is a better approach.
Then again, JavaCC is not free, and I am not aware of
a free replacement. Anyhow, I had a look at the 1.2 javadoc
pages today (thanks for the pointers), and I am going to
bide my time for Linux JDK 1.2. The only neat thing about
doc++ (that might be worth copying into any free javadoc)
is that it handles C/C++ source as well - kinda makes
documentation with JNI stuff easier.

Btw., the doc++ LICENSE claims to be GPL, however, it also
states
If you intend to use DOC++ commercially on a regular
basis you must contact the authors for an appropriate
donation.
which indicates some confusion about the GPL, either on
my or on their side.
