The new homepage is up and running. Per GNU web style guidelines,
things are high on content, and low on "HTML > 2.0" formatting. *ahem*
classpath/doc/www.gnu.org in the CVS tree corresponds to
/software/classpath on any GNU web site mirror.
Lots and lots of stuff is automatic. If you want to change a file,
just edit the meta-html source and commit your changes. Things get
updated over at www.gnu.org once a night. If you want to add a new
file, make sure you add a target for the html version in the
appropriate Makefile.
I'm unsure how things were being handled under Brian's setup, but
currently, anytime one of the preexisting texinfo files is updated,
the corresponding html file on www.gnu.org will update itself.
Oh, and the new mascot -- the currently unnamed, ``Evil Water
Droplet'', is up on our web page as well. Make sure you have Java
turned on, or else he won't tap his pitchfork.
Assuming everyone is happy with the new pages, I'll announce them on
the ``What's New'' portion of www.gnu.org and link to them from the
main GNU software page.
